Noob/2005 bmw 545i

Sup Folks

New to the forum and to BMW for that matter. I picked up a 2005 545I in August. It belonged to childhood friend who moved on to new more powerful and equipped BMWs, so he neglected this car. I was in New York in August and decided to drive the car back to Dallas, TX. I made it to the TX-AR state line I-30 before the water pump came apart. I ended up getting a ride home and returning to drag the car home.

Now she sits in the garage in need of quite abit of work. I am thinking a complete engine and trans pull; service the Trans which roughed shifted from 2nd into 1st and has a delayed shift when put into reverse and refurb/rebuild the engine. There is also no working AC and an active steering malfunction.

Interior is in great shape but needs cleaning and leather conditioning. The headliner needs replacement. The body is mostly straight except for him leaving car in the street and a snow plow damaging the rear passenger door and quarter panel slightly.
