upgrading factory radio and screen

have 2016 320i with non-navigation radio and smaller screen. has anyone bought the unit with navigation and the larger screen and replaced the original? can it be done? lots of radios and screens at junkyards for real good price. My car has the Hi-Fi stereo with the amp in rear, just no nav and small screen.

Would be interested in hearing about this as well. 2017 with standard screen / radio. Would love a factory unit if I could. I know the aftermarket unit is pretty good, but would be curious about getting factory.

Found factory radios on Bimmertech with install kits

they have full install kits but are a bit expensive. $2100 fro a head unit, screen, iTouch controller, and all cabling. But that comes with activation, done by remote session to their techs. I did find some radios, screens, and controllers online form dismantlers at better pricing. Then you could buy the cabling and activation.

There is fairly cheap way to upgrade your oem screen. I was reading somewhere that its possible and only couple hundred dollars.
