428i comfort access trunk

Anybody have response issues with the comfort access truck on the 428i? Mine seems like it occasionally works. Can't figure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's glitchy and needs warranty service. I have the remote in my pocket and kick under the back center bumper. I heard some say you actually need to touch the bottom of the bumper with the top of your foot. Seems like a convenience feature like this shouldn't be so hard to activate.

Mine works without touching anything. I just swing my foot forward, under the bumper, in the center of the bumper, and the trunk opens. I have never had any issues with it doing it this way.

Thanks for the response. User error. I wasn't kinking in and then back out. And you do have to be right in the middle. Not much leeway, at least for mine

Mine is very touchy as well when it comes to the location. If you're not dead-on it won't work. Another frustration I've found is the delay. There is at least a second, if not two delay. I'm never quite sure I've done the "dance" correctly. I've given up on it and just use the button on the trunk anymore.
