41,000 miles on a ~2 year lease return? Something doesn't seem right. That's a TON of miles. Hope you're getting a crazy good deal. That's what I would be looking out for.

Check the convertible top operation thoroughly. Run it through several cycles.

That's s lot of miles on this car. Suppose they leased it the latter part of 2018. I'd pass on this one.

If I don't put a lot of miles on it, which I likely won't, it wont be a high mileage car in a few years. What is wrong with that many miles if Im getting a good deal based on the mileage being high? Wont these great german engineered cars take it? Should I buy a Lexus?

You better get a good deal! You might need it for repairs sooner than you think down the road on this high mileage car that you don't know how it was driven!

Will it be CPOd? The extra warranty would be nice to have and if it is CPOd well by a good dealer then any high mileage wear items should be addressed.

Im not aware of any particular trouble spots with the 430i. Do be aware the CPO warranty will not cover the top mechanism. Problems with the top are pretty rare, but keep in mind its a big, complicated piece of machinery that will be expensive to repair should it fail.

Thanks tturedeaider for your response. It will have 22 months of the original warranty, or 8K miles. I will check on any extended warranties that would cover the roof.

Be very aware, that I think warranties have changed a few years back, used to be bumper to bumper, I looked recently and in the small print there is an awfully lot of things no covered on an extended warrantee.
I even think there is a few things in there on stuff not covered on vert's also anything deemed wear and tear is not covered. I'd still always have a BMW warrantee,
but don't assume it's covered, read the contract.

Like others have said, you better be getting a super good price on a high mileage car like this.

Now, that aside, a whole bunch of miles in a short period of time implies highway use, which is the easiest kind of miles. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

2 other points

1> My old boss used to tell me about buying a high millage car, is that you will be paying for someone else's enjoyment of the car
2> High way miles are always better

Peoples circumstances change, (twice I've had to use cars as daily drivers or do more miles) does not mean I neglected the cars, the opposite
but IMHO I value low millage high cost rather than high millage low cost
