Rear led lights

Hi,

I have a 2008 m3, I am wanting to upgrade the rear lights to the 2010 upgraded led lights, is this possible? As in a straight swap? Thanks in advance.

Do you have a Sedan (E90), Coupe (E92), or Convertible (E93)? The complexity depends on which model you have...

You're in luck, there are a lot of retrofit kits out there. e92 LCI conversions are extremely common, I've seen them all over youtube with plenty of links of affordable aftermarket options. In my case (e93), aftermarket options were limited so I went Genuine BMW. Back to your car.

If you go OEM or Genuine BMW, it'll require the taillights, a retrofit harness, and coding (to remove bulb errors).

If you go aftermarket, there are some that are completely plug and play.

I'm assuming you have the FRM3 module in your car. ECS is a great resource for figuring these things out. - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...-kit/92lrfkt4/
