X1 F48 (2016 - current)
Second generation F48 BMW X1 builds on the success of it's predecessor. Increases in power, interior and cargo space keep it a leader in the small SUV field.

Hi-Fi (option 676) Sound Upgrade

This is truly the "M package" for your SAVs audio! This amp delivers high quality, detailed audio versus just "loud" and is a major improvement over the stock hi-fi configuration. Now the underseat woofers generate solid mid-range bass that can only be improved on by a subwoofer in the trunk. I bought this gently used amp from a member on "the other board." Installation began with a review of directions at newTIS.info for the removal of the side panel, disconnecting the negative lead from the battery then, using trim removal tools and a generous measure of patience, finally gaining access to the Hi-Fi amp mounting plate. Wiring the Match Up 7BMW amp was the easiest part; it's truly "plug 'n play." Programming/configuration was done with a Windows PC using the DSP PC-tool V4 and various sample sound setup files (as a basis) downloaded from the Audiotec Fisher website.

Hello.

Have you changed the following settings?

HU_NBT_EVO?>
3002 AUDIO_TUNER_TRAFFIC, 96> AUDIO_SYSTEM = hifi or tophifi (default: stereo)

OPTIONS (stereo = 00, hifi = 01, tophifi = 02, individual_sound = 03, hk_surroundsound = 04, highpremium = 05, hifi_system_harmankardon = 06)

Thank you.

It is unnecessary to do any coding for this amp on F48's that come to North America because they are equipped with the Hi-Fi head units and OEM amplifier as the minimum standard; there is no base stereo head unit offered. The only other option available here is the Harman Kardon stereo upgrade but that does not work with this amp. Now if I replaced the OEM amplifier with another (different) OEM amplifier or with the Harmon Kardon amplifier, then coding of these replacement units would be necessary (as per newTIS.info).

"Say hello to my little friend"- Tony 'Scarface' Montana

Picked up a Focal Bomba BP20, 150-watt (max power - 300 watts) powered, ported subwoofer (frequency response: 25Hz to 125Hz). This is the perfect compliment for the Match7 BMW amp to give me that low bass that the stock, under-seat woofers can't provide. It is compact in size (aprox. 17 x 12 x 9 inches) and the angled back matches the rear seats when reclined. I plan to power it from the power outlet in back since it only draws 15 amps max.
