just disconnect connectors end connect them to the cable of the external CPU. The connectors of the external CPU are compatible with the car so this is an easy job. The external CPU is removed by disconnecting the connectors of the car and put them back to the original position. This is about 10 minutes work.

You have to remove it before servicing because you can clearly see the external CPU. I always have tools in the car so that I can remove it anytime. E.g. When am engine failure occurs.

Until now the onboard CPU is not able to detect it.

Check out the ventura tuning website on the 320i. They have measured the performance with a dyno test. This looks good :-) The same engine is in the 330e. Looking forward to the dyno test of the 330e...

I just saw that the dyno measurements for the 330e are available too now on the ventura tuning website. It confirms what I experienced already after tuning the car: plenty of power :-).

Has anyone from the United States purchased this kit? Can I order it from their website and/or if I call do they speak English? Thanks

They speak English, German, Spanish, French and of course Dutch. So, calling them should not be a problem.

I enjoy the car every day. Especially the flexibility of the engine is fantastic. Hit the pedal when driving 100 km/h and you will drive 170 km/h before you know it.

The car feels quicker when driving in comfort mode. You clearly feel the power when shifting back.

Currently I am driving on map 6 on RON98 petrol. This gives extra power. But, for 0-100 I have issues to avoid wheelspin. The best time the I made until now is 6 seconds but I see that the motormanagement is trying to reduce wheelspin.

So, yes, so far I am happy with this tuning.

Current fuel consumption is 4.1 L/100km. I drive 2x70km a day and I charge the car at home and at work. I take care that the battery is empty at the end of each trip. I try to drive electric in traffic jams so I check the traffic situation during the trip.

I do not have the feeling that the tuning has a big effect on the fuel consumption. I do see a major difference in the way how I use my right foot. Driving aggressive costs a lot more fuel and certainty much more than my previous 320i was using.

I spoke with Ventura today. They said they are waiting for their attorneys to complete some things to allow the 330e kit to be shipped to the US. They asked me to call again next Wednesday.

ismeheng they said they can't sell direct to the USA. Any chance I could have you purchase the kit and then I pay you?

Please let us know how the P-tronic box is working. From their website it is not really clear that they actually support the B48 engine.

I would prefer to get the Ventura unit. Is someone willing to purchase it for me then ship it to me. I would pay you for it. Ventura just can't sell directly to someone in the US.

I received my ptronic box today. Any chance someone with the ventura unit could send me a scan of the installation instructions. The instructions for this unit aren't specific to the 330E and I'm having trouble locating the correct sensors to plug into.

No doubts about Ventura Tuning. I am a happy customer. I am sure that you will not regret installing this fun-package.

Note that you have to take care to remove the tuning whenever you go for service. And, just to be sure, keep some tools in the car so the you can remove the tuning when your car would breakdown while traveling.

Looking forward to your experiences.
