Transfer case bolt was a fiasco. Socket broke, mangled the bolt etc,.

HOWEVER I emerged victorious and there are no more warning lights on the dash

Gave it a full clean inside and out, took a while. Then noticed that the winter took a beating to the paint this year. Going to have to do a compound,
Polish and wax in the near future.

Got to try out the CarPro Perl and the trim certainly it looks amazing now will see how long it holds.

@RMmepilot - Love the kidneys, but I especially like those wheels! Those are 19"s right? If so, what size tire are you running? If you're running the staggered set, I'm really just interested in the tire size for the 8.5" front. Thanks!

Also, did you just use your stock lugs bolts? I've read the newer X3's use a thicker bolt.

19"s and they're 245/45 R19 squared. The set came off of a 2018 X4 2.8is and the tires are OEM GY LS2 RFTs, that were barely used.

Yes, I used my stock lugs.

I picked them up in Atlanta last night, from a CL find ($600/set).

That's excellent! I recently picked up a set of 19" style 369 wheels for my car off CL, but the tires are no good. This is fine as I'm not super excited about RFTs. It's nice to see the 245/45/19 in photos on an e83. Also good to know the stock lugs worked without issue. Thanks for the reply!

YW!

I'm not a RFT fan myself, but 4 rims w/ almost brand new RFT's for $600, I'm very happy.

The ride is a little more harsh, but it's my daughter's car and now I'm not worrying about her getting a flat, when I'm not around. "Get home" tires for a young teen girl, is a good thing.

You really can't beat that price! I agree that being able to drive home slowly is a much better option for your daughter. To boot, those wheels look great!

well same codes hit for the 04 as for the 06 yesterday while me and the wife were out cruising at low speeds. I've ordered 3 sets of 02 sensors. Funny an additional message popped up saying "Your sensors are old and need replacement". Never got that message with the 06....so I concluded that it's the replacement of the 02 sensors and not the catalytic converters...it might be very well be a warning that the catalytic converters can be in danger if the sensors are not changed...that's just my take, what do you guys think?

Looks that way to me, plus sensors are far cheaper than cats...

Looking good so far.

What springs are you going with?

Good Q. I have H&R installed on my 2017 X3. Iím looking to stiffen the ride as well as bringing down a bit.

Maybe Eibach? Any suggestions?

I ran H&R matched with Koni FSD's on my e46 and loved them.

"Some" have said that H&R's might require additional camber plates, but I haven't verified that.

I'm on the fence between H&R's and Eibach's, but need to do a little more research first. I'm leaning toward Eibach's, but don't have any factual data to support that decision.

My front lower control arms need replaced and want to do the entire suspension at the same time.

EDIT: I installed a HomeLink mirror w/ compass last night.

Changed filter/oil for 04 and 06...went to the waterpark with the family (father's day) got in the lazy river with key in pocket Did turn over the car, but I didn't turn it off until I made the 60 mile journey back home. Fob lock function stopped maybe it'll dry out!
