if the general area is just for really old models, then they should a sub forum for that too.

Mazda 3 posts should go here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64

My point is that it may be easier to just make the different 3 series forums independent and not "sub-forums" which results in the twilight zone area we are posting in now.

However, I am glad that we have the ability to see all 3 series posts.

Not if the forum goes away.

We'll be pigeon holed away into our own generation of car. The nice thing with the larger 3 series forum is it allows those who don't do the "New Post" option to see the whole range of posts. Espicially those who might have owned E30's, or an E36 in the past and see an issue they might help with. If they don't do each forum, those posts are missed.

The seperation will make searching a little better (if you pay attention to which generation you own), but for those who don't do "New Posts", its going to be a royal pain.

And topics that aren't specific to one model will be pigeonholed into whatever forum the mod feels like sticking it into. E.g., https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84633 .
