calculating prices

Hi guys:

When you calculate how much you are paying over invoice, do you include the destination charge in the MSRP? Or do you take the MSRP (w/o destination) and subtract from the base invoice (again w/o destination)?

I have negotiated a 330i with the following options:

ZCW
ZHP
Premium
Xenon
Metallic Paint (Black Sapphire)

The best price I've gotten is $38,100. Without the incentive, that comes in at $41,900. Is that $2075 off MSRP or $2770 off MSRP (not including the incentive, of course).

Thanks in advance.
Anand

I'm getting $2100 below invoice on a 330i ZHP, Step., Xenons. Basically, that is a $1700 profit for the dealer due to the incentive. He makes some money....I get a great deal, can't ask for more than that. Getting a brand new BMW for $6,000 below MSRP will make the smile on my face just a little bit broader as I cruise the highways.

You should include the Destination since that is not negotiable and also plan on a possible MACO fee that is $300. Other than that, start at $3,800 below invoice and work your way up to a "reasonable" profit for the dealer. The price you're at now is very good and I'd be surprised to see you get any better.

The one problem is that you MUST take delivery in January for the incentive to apply.
