The term is powder coating. It is called this because the "paint" is actually applied in powder form and baked on, rather than a sprayed liquid.

Anyway, I don't like OEM wheels that have been powder coated in black. My vote is to keep them as-is.

If you go to the Tire Rack website you can see the different wheels they sell on your model vehicle. You can find one similar to yours and check out different wheel styles and colors to get an idea of what you want.

This is my car with some ASA wheels shown on it.

If you do decide to do it, Powder Coating is pretty awesome. I have a Oven in my garage that I use to do nothing but Powdercoat. I still have yet to make it into a "pregnant oven" to accommodate bigger things like rims. I have done smaller rims like ones off trailer but nothing big like 17's and up. I do want to Powder Coat my rims. The previous owner just spray painted the wheels black with the silver lip but the black is starting to flake. Powder Coating is definitely the way to go, I have done a ton of Valve Covers and little parts off my Gixxer and it looks good and lasts.

"Power coat" It's like powder coating, but Chuck Norris applies the paint.

I approve. I love the pinstripe. Very classy unlike many pinstriped wheels I've seen.

Black wheels with red pinstripe has been done to death. Those being silver with the red pinstripe that matches the car makes it subtle and unique.

Thanks for the ups guys. I don't know why some go against the black look with my wheels. They look quite nice. Just wish they had it in 18
