Same thing happened with my F10 535i and the previous generation Pilot Super Sport's (PSS's), but ditching the RFT's at 30k miles. The difference was so profound that I'm kicking myself for not ditching the RFT's at 3k miles, or even 3 (no k) miles.

Keep an eye on tread wear. Michelin's and Bridgestone's seem to wear evenly with less pressure than corresponding Goodyear's and Continental's.

did the same with my 35is. The ride difference is immediately noticeable, as is the noise reduction. Well worth the extra $. 34 psi front, 38 psi back

What do you mean “extra money”???
Any RFT costs way more than the best non-RFT.
I get the comfort and performance, but are you referring to the extra money you’d spend if you get a flat and bust your rims ?

I am running the OEM Run Flats. The ride quality is hard to say the least. I also lowered the Z with H and R springs. The car looks FANTASTIC and handles like a go cart. However the ride harshness is over the top on all but the smoothest surfaces. Road joints, divots etc are jarring.
I was considering putting the Z back on the OEM stock springs.
However before I do that, does anyone has any experience with the the H and R drop and Pilot Super Sports?
Ride Quality experiences?
I am willing to accept a stiffer ride with a drop and except some jarring BUT the combo of Run Flats and Drop are causing the re-think the Looks and handling vs ride quality.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I removed the RFTs at delivery and have been running PSS ever since. Lowered or not, you will be amazed at the improvement in your ride. I assume you're not on first gen RFTs because you've had your Z for a long time. So if you're still complaining about a harsh ride on the improved newer RFTs, my advice would be to switch.

Hi, changed from Bridgestone run flats to Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and the 2015 Z4 35i is transformed from a noisy bad handling beast into a superb handling QUIET pleasure. Try them, you'll LOVE the transformation.
