Had to let the Z4 go.

I loved that car, but I had to let it go. My back just wouldn't take getting in and out of it any more. The bright side is I found a mint, garage queen, 2014 640xi Gran Coupe to replace it. My back and hips are much happier for it. Arthritis is a B. It's eating my body away one joint at a time. Both shoulders, both knees, probably a hip sometime this year. I won't be 64 until August.

Sorry to hear about your Arthritis forcing you to give up your Z4. I'm sure you'll miss the beauty of it. Good Luck with your new purchase. BTW I'm 80 and have no problem entering my Z4.

Hey Oaker55, I know it had to be hard to let the Z go. It looks like you found another awesome BMW to replace the Z. I have heard the Gran Coupe will really get up and go. Sorry to hear about your Arthritis, My co-worker is currently out with the same type of Arthritis. He has it in both shoulder joints his hip joint and over the Holidays his knee swelled up real bad and he could no longer walk on it. His Doctor's are trying to decide what if anything they can do for him. Anyway, I hope you have a blast with your Gran-Coupe ! Take care.

Where did it go ? Looks great ! How do I find it to negotiate a purchase ? [the VIN would help to locate the vehicle.]

Thanks.

Don

The dealership that has it is a loser. They’ve had the car three weeks today but still no actual pictures of the car on their site. I will try to post a link to the car on their website later.

I feel very fortunate. Over 80 now and still going to the gym and lap swimming at the pool. I try to keep the legs strong so I don't have to fall into the seat. It works but a lot of my younger friends are unable to work out at all.

My troubles started in 1989 when I was 34. I broke my neck and it has been somewhat down hill since then. I was able to play golf until 10 years ago when my left shoulder basically fell apart. Couldn’t swing a club without dislocating it. Then the right went bad. It would fall out of place just standing unsupported for short periods of time. After three surgeries on my neck, I only have partial felling in my hands. The real killer for the car was when the knees went. It was just getting too difficult to get in and out of.

I got two calls last week from the dealer asking questions about the car. The last was Saturday wondering where the manuals were so I was thinking they probably had sold it.
