Strange sound from engine compartment.

Started noticing a strange whining sound coming from the right side of the engine (when facing it) after the vehicle has been driven and parked in the garage. Lasts about 15 minutes with 1 minute intervals between the whine. Any ideas?

N20 engine whine typically means the valve chain guides are going. Get it checked out FAST before they fail. There MAY be an extended warranty on this. Check with your dealer.

This sound like electrical noise, not timing chain related (engine is not even running in the video he posted).
