440 PCD on the horizon

Car spec'd and ordered. Waiting now on production date and then estimated PCD date. I am so excited about this. We have visited the Welt several times and seen others take delivery there (next time) but counting the days until my F32 and I are "united" in SC. How to pass the time?

Have you seen the article on how to track your BMW through production? The phone options (and maybe the phone number) have changed since the article was published, but it is still mostly spot on. Once your car is at the port in Germany you can call BMW and get the name of the ship your car will be loaded on so you can follow it across the Atlantic and see when it is expected in Charleston. The next few weeks will be torture, but it helps a bit to see some progress.

Thanks for the link. I am tracking it already on the BMW website (Order Received) but there is a ton more here that I'll read through. My Client Advisor said he'd keep me up to date but also that some of his customers track their car's progress obsessively and know before he does. "You're not one of those guys, are you?" he half-jokingly asked. "No, of course not..."

When is your delivery date? It's sort of like waiting on a new baby, isn't it? Even the name of the special day is the same.

Congrats on the new ride, you'll have a blast in Spartanburg. I still remember taking delivery of my new 440 like it was yesterday. BMW does it right.
