I wonder if this would cause the floor to get wet in rainy conditions. I was washing my ///M the other day and noticed the floor was wet on the passanger side back under the mat. . This was during the vacuum stage of things before I put any water on it.
Do you have any more info on the issue

I've had subframe mount failures on both E46es. It's a very real problem.

What kind of stress were you putting on the car? Was it tracked or only "spirited" driving conditions? Just trying to get more info before I go off on the dealer for selling me a car that has structeral (sp.) damage.
Thanks, Jeff

I think my subframe tore. I'm hearing rubbing/creaking noise from the rear driver side when loading and unloading the suspension / enganging clutch. From looking at these threads, I'm scared of the cost to repair it. My car is well out of warranty. Does anyone know if comprehensive insurance would cover something like this.? What should I do?

Nick's race car had damage when we first pulled the subframe and it was a normally driven street car, but someone who did not do anything spirited. It had cracks but was not loose.

Nick's M3 was driven rather hard.
