New Bimmertech Keyfob

So my door locks and comfort access intermittently stopped working. So naturally I assumed it was my keyfob. Made a few calls to the dealers and reviewed the forums. Dealer told me it had to be checked out and pay a diagnostics fee. Than if it's the keyfob, purchased a key fob and than have it programmed. That's ridiculous! Than I did a search for BMW F10 keyfobs. I ran across Bimmer-tech.net. I said to myself I'm just going to assume it's my keyfob and just buy that for the price they offered because it was almost HALF of what the dealer wanted in total with fees!!

Purchasing my key fob from Bimmertech was an awesome purchase. From the detailed explanations and videos offered on their website to their knowledgeable sales and tech staff. I was intimidated by the dealers stating their prices of the key fobs plus diagnostics fees and plus the "supposed" programming fees. The total the price was doubled! With Bimmertech's clear and precise explanation of what my particular vehicle needed and the process to make it happen, Bimmertech's key Fob was the way to go, as it comes directly from BMW, already pre-programmed for half the price!

I would love to thank all the sales staff for assuring me my key fob was going to work WITHOUT additional programming AND DEALER FEES. Simply take it out of the box, place it next to the steering column and start the car. Done!

$425 is half the price? Wow
Ringing endorsement for Bimmertech but actually you could of done the same for less.
Any BMW dealership or parts supplier can sell you one with the proper paperwork like Bimmertech requested.
You just need to call around for the best price, if in California there is a phone number to call to get a huge discount.
Having purchased before directly I do know they come ready to go just need pairing, the rest is dealership BS.
I'm glad it worked for you.

Yea, I called 3 dealers. Most wanted 375-475 plus the key plus tax. But all demanded the fob must be programmed. I called the California key phone # but told me the same thing, must be programmed and won't ship out of California to top it off. I didn't wanna risk it at all, especially for just a fob. Bimmertech staff were the only ones that I trusted , assuring me it would work as is at one price. All in the comfort of my own home without visiting dealer.

I'm sure there are many of us in Kommiefornya that would relay-ship a key to you (or anyone else, for that matter)

That's one of the "Live and learn", searching here would of told you all of that.
It gets asked a couple times a month, seems like it.
I had also said "if in California" , which I should of said "Live in", you have to be a resident.
A BIG +1 on the above.

It would have been the same or less from the dealer. A F10 keyfob does NOT need "programming" (some other/older models do which may be why they "mis" quoted you that). As you saw you just hold it to your steering column for it to sync with the car. Bimmertech's $410 + $85 for the internal key (which BMW includes) is more than most dealers would be, by about $100.

I benefited from the California deal. For anyone thinking about it, you CAN'T get it out of state, or with a local friend's help. To pickup the key which will be sent to your nearest CA dealer, you need to show the CA car registration for the car that's getting the key, and your CA license. Before I learned of the CA deal, the local dealers price was about $425 for a Comfort Access keyfob including the internal key.
