Have fun and enjoy your ride, I know I have fun with mine every time I drive it. P.S. there is a Porsche and a Mustang (5 liter ) certainly not stock , around me that learned a lesson about BMW. If the stang only knew it was a 2liter 4 cylinder that smoked him today I am sure he would be trowing more money at it.

Those Mustang's have lots of horses that are hard to get traction, and most still have solid live rear axle.

I've been behind some at track day with a much slower RX8 Mazda, and with 3 times the power they should walk off from me, but were fighting for control.

They're great for doing donuts at the mall which I've witnessed on occasion.

I take my X1 s28i to the track now instead because it's faster than my RX8. (yeah, the 8 is slightly more balanced in corners, but the torque of X1 makes up for any extra understeer.)

With the higher-than-I'm-used-to center-of-gravity, I've been a bit timid about taking tight turns. Interesting about the Mustangs. I have noticed that this car is extremely fast, even with "just" the s28i option. It's crazy. And the auto tranny is very responsive. It's a bit of a sleeper, I think.

I've got approximately the same car, and you might think it;s twitchy like I did when I tried to keep up with the big boys during Euro delivery on the autobahn.

I'd get up to about 120mph, and it felt like wind blowing it all over the road.

Lots of guys insisted it was because air getting under tall vehicle (aero).

I fixed it very easy by putting 12mm BMS spacers on front only to make track of front and back close to same.

Some other wheel pkgs might feel different since they have different ET's.
