Mein Auto:
N52 vs N20

Hey guys! I'm looking to get a 528i f10 with 60-70k miles and keep it for 3-4 years.
The question is whether i should get a 3.0 I6 NA N52 one or a 2.0 Turbo N20?
What would you suggest in terms of long term reliability/maintenance and what is real world mpg of both?

Id like to hear owners opinions too

Mein Auto: 2011 528i
The N52 is a more reliable choice, albeit harder to find as only the 2011 is a choice. Do look out for the earlier N20 as they have a history of self destruction from a timing chain guide failure. I believe this issue was corrected on 01/2015 and after builds.

My 2011 528i gets about 22mpg in typical suburban driving and around 30mpg on the highway. The N20 will do better but I would be very careful to drive one out of warranty if it didn't have the timing guide upgrade.

Well I was leaning more toward the N52, the I6 sound is just something, and also the N52 from what i know i doesnt rattle like a diesel, theres no direct injection which causes it like in N20
From what i see the diff in mpg is just slight
