Well kept high mileage cars are underrated in my opinion. I've owned a 180k 525xiT for 4 months now, driven about 8k miles, spent about 200 dollars in parts and it still runs great.

Here is a more recent photo, a lot of it comes down too how the car has been taken care of. In this case it was till it needed many things and the last owner decided just to turn it in.

Good news is that I've made it to Georgia and South Carolina broader with no problems at all, I'm staying in South Carolina right now in a decent budget hotel room.

I would have bought the car for the same price. If he changes his mind, let me know if you are willing to drive it to Sweden

Not too sure how I would do that, but it sounds like an top gear challenge.

Small update the car hit 300k, that's the good news. My friend gave it to his sister who was in need of a car who ended up in very bad shape after a divorce(pretty much ended up with nothing and is now living with my friend). Had to take a job with long commutes. Bad news the car has transmission problems, past the 300k mark. I think this car has reached it's end, there's no plans to fix it.
