Double-spoke Style442 M Orbit Grey

putting together an order for a 2018 340 with the M package and the track package for the adaptive susp and variable steering. My choices on wheels is not great. the car will be black ext and the darker Dakota interior. the wheels in the subject are the best looking in my opinion but BMW website doesn't really do any setup justice and is truly hard to tell if the "grey" that is in the description of the wheels would look funny with black exterior. does anyone have these? or have seen these? how does it look? i have no interest in the black wheels, makes the car look all Robocop...yeah showing my age..thanks in advance!!

They look good in person ( I have EB as well so no need in me posting pics lol).

The grey is understated in them but its "brake dust grey" so tends to hide the dust fairly well . I love the contrast of the wheels. The silver will give your black car contrast and they will "pop". Much better than blacked out wheels on a black car but thats a personal opinion.

Is your dealer taking orders for 2018s already? I asked my dealer last week and he didn't have details on them yet/could only order 2017s

I have them in Orbit Grey. I like them with my Silver and think they look really good with White, Red and E-Blue. I would definitely not get Orbit Grey wheels with Mineral Grey. and probably not Black...not enough contrast and not an exact match is a bad place to be visually. Orbit Grey is definitely metallic and not black in sunlight when clean but we can't count on those two things. They still come in silver don't they?...I'd get them in silver with a black car (or get a Glacier Silver car)

I have these wheels and they look very good inho. I think they would go well with a black car.

These are beautiful wheels in person, contrasts nicely with my EBII. Not sure how they'll look against the black, but I don't see why they wouldn't not compliment the car just as well.

The '18s started production in March. Find another dealer. Some of these guys don't put in the effort to keep up on start of production dates for new model years. I've gone in about ordering and they'll say there is no info on a new model year then I'll whip out an ordering guide (thanks Bimmerfest) with the SOP date right on it.

Bad news is I was forced to order them with my package. Good news, I found out they were the best looking wheels since my 313's.

BMW Site pictures are pretty bad.

No the dealers are not taking orders for 2018 3 series yet. soon I am sure I would guess ~2-3 weeks. 4 series you can order an 18 now.

Good to here the M340 looks to be a winner. Guys sticking M badges on their 3 series M-Sports will finally get one stuck on by the factory if they get the big engine
