Next Generation 3 Series (F30) Spotted in California!

AutoSpies and spy photographer Fred Khaz bring us these shots of a very heavily camouflaged F30 sedan. This is a step backwards in revealing any details about the future 3 series but its a huge step forward in testing. BMW must be very close to satisfied with the handling and other details if they're starting to test US version for emissions, fuel quality issues (we don't need another HPFP fiasco) and other minor North American tweaks. Who else is excited to see an F30 state side?

SPIED: A Fellow Spy Nabs The BMW F30 3-Series On U.S. Soil

Spotted for -- what 00R believes is -- the first time in the United States is the BMW F30 3-Series.
Still sporting tons of camouflage from head-to-toe, there isn't much to make out of the latest member of the BMW family to get a redo.

But what we can tell is blatantly obvious from these photographs is the sheer scale of the soon-to-be-new 3'er. I mean, just look at it. The car looks like it has increased its size in just about every direction.

Additionally, upon closer inspection of the images, it's clear that this 3-Series will inherit bigger kidney grills a la the F01 7-Series and F10 5-Series.

Are you seeing anything 00R's not?

Look at the size of that thing! That has to be getting close to 190in in length.

Are they making room for a 1er sedan?

@ encore, I think it only looks so big because its sitting under a frame of 5/7 series shell to hide the features of the actual F30.

Well thats what I hope

Another boring bluetooth-mobile for an ever expanding demographic of buyers who apparently don't know the difference between front wheel drive and rear wheel drive.

Woe is BMW these days, I feel for them.

Hopefully its not too much larger than the outgoing model once the disguise comes off.

I don't like driving something thats bigger than necessary, more of a pain to park, fits in fewer spaces and hauling around unneeded weight.

The current 3 feels like a perfect size to me, enough space in the back to transport a couple decent-sized passengers but not oversized
