What did they do to it? Repair door and rocker, replace fender and fender moulding?

I called the collision center to get a better understanding and they said basically insurance wanted to repair the door and repair the plastic molding on the bottom, how the hell do you repair the plastic molding. In short most of the items are getting replaced as the the rep at collision center said there is to much damage to repair. Why do I pay insurance for them to half ass the repair process makes me so annoyed.

They should provide you with a copy of the estimate. It will list all the parts, whether the parts are repaired or replaced and refinished, if replaced what grade (OEM, aftermarket, reconditioned, recycled, etc..) Then they will have all the other standard tasks and fees (haz mat fees, flex additive, etc...)

Not surprised.

OE is Original Equipment aka 'BMW Original Parts' aka 'What you buy at the BMW dealer with a BMW label'

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer... EITHER the company that made the OE part or.... A part this is identical to the OE part, but is sold by the OEM under their own label

OEM is not what BMW sells
