You may find this post helpful if the X3 cluster is similar to the E46 one: https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...48&postcount=7

Help BMW Service Codes!
I am in the process of buying a preowned 760i and discovered as we were closing the deal there were some issues with the vehicle due to the previous owner's use of ethanol blended gasoline. As a result, I am very interested in understanding the service codes within the vehicle history report. Can someone help me out? I looked on the PDF, but many of the codes were not listed there. The codes of interest are:
6135131400 1614041200 6577060200 51471301Bl 513000700 |

For any codes with odd suffixes, try changing the last 2 letters to 00 (zero-zero) and submitting it on my form at http://www.tmk.com/defect-form. In your case, this returns "3241054800 Hose from pump to steering gear Leaking".

OBD II AutoScanner
Hello, if you have need to borrow the OBD II AutoScanner and live near Paramus NJ, send me an email, [email protected]. You can get the codes from anywhere, but once you know the issue, turning off the warning lite required that I buy the Scanner. It's gathering dust so if it can help someone else, let me know....

Attached is a list of BMW dealers that I have compiled over the years. The list is far from complete but it's a start.
Hopefully, others will feel free to add dealer names to the list. Hope this helps. |

Thanks Terry and Fred for the information. I decided to buy the 2003 325Ci for my DD, partially based on the good service history and local dealer history. (instead of waiting for a new Mazdaspeed3 or Civic Si...must be getting old)

Search for New Codes
I just became a member and am amazed at the wealth of information exchanged. I am looking to find the definition for these codes that I have not been able to understand. I have this horrible feeling that the dealer was aware of the problems on the car when they sold me a "pre-certified BMW". Now they want me to spend $7000 to get them "refixed". If there is any one out there who can help me, please post:
