Just curious. Not doing anything with data I assure you. 100 % committed to HDD in idrive. Will not affect my listening method whatsoever.

Michael Schott I blew it. Wanted it to count results. Do you need a date certain for it to count results? Can you fix for 10 days? Thanks but no problem if you can't.

Automatically #1 when I get into the car. Sometimes #5.

If I has CarPlay I would default to that for everything.

All except #4 because years ago I tired of paying SiriusXM's extortionate rates for abysmal (at best) sound reproduction.

Used to use the bluetooth, but it's become very unreliable in my car for audio. For whatever reason calls seems to generally work just fine, but when I play audio over bluetooth, the buttons on the steering wheel to navigate to the next song never seem to consistently work. No problems if its plugged in via USB though...

I do #3 via #2. Spotify over Bluetooth. Although these days I also find myself listening to podcasts nearly as often as I listen to music. Even then the podcasts are via Bluetooth. I never physically plug my phone into the car of anything other than charging.

On short errands of only a few minutes I'll occasionally listen to the radio, but it isn't very often.

8: CarPlay is connected by WiFi instead of Bluetooth. I stream some international stations and listen music on my phone

Road trips - mostly memory stick in the console, sometimes I phone (CDs copied to the I phone memory)

Have yet to explore the I drive storage but I like the idea. Lots of good CDs in the racks I've not listened to in a long time.

Laura, I'm interested in how you are playing music directly from ipad to USB. Does the ipad act just like an iphone? I can hook up my iphone and it plays my library of songs no problem. Do you have to download your music from itunes into ipad or does all your music reside in the ipad with itunes installed on it? What format is your music in mp3, FLAC etc or are you just using Apple Music streaming service or some other?

Reason I'm asking, I will have to replace my laptop soon so is an ipad a feasible option? My version of idrive recognizes the iphone but need my laptop to download music from itunes into iphone.

I simply stream from my phones or tablet...via BT. I have the AUDIOVOX Mediabridge installed...ran into a unit never used even tho they came on the market around 2010 I think, very versatile USB, BT, aux cable...every now and then they come up on ebay.
