Does anyone know what a P143c code means?

This code is showing on my 2013 F30. It looks like it is some sort of emissions issue and an older forum post regarding an E90 said the code was:

"Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst Temperature / Radiator Coolant Temperature Correlation"

My local independent BMW shop is closed until Monday but until then does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

What type of code reader are you using? If it is a cheap one, then it may just be giving you a false code.

Most auto parts stores will pull your codes for free. This would be a good way to verify the code you are getting.

The car ECM/ECU gives the code. The reader just reads the code. It shouldn’t be false.

Is the car diesel? I read something about a DPF fault related to the code.

Diagnostic trouble codes that begin with a number other than 0, are usually manufacturer specific. It's not a generic "P0" type emission related code that your local auto parts store can read out for you. You might have trouble figuring out this code, and how to clear it, outside the dealer. Good luck.

I have seen readers, which were not BMW specific, bring up all sorts of strange codes which don't show up with a BMW specific reader.
