Any suggestions on preferrable brand of wiper blades for 2006 325 XI?

The general consensus is that the BMW OEM blades are well worth the few extra $$$ they may cost. I think you can order them from Tischer and other places for a bit cheaper than the dealer parts department.

If your car is still under warranty, this is covered.

Thanks, Mike.

I bought a CPO (still under factory warranty) in Feb 09. The blades were changed once before I bought it. The dealer told me that BMW would change the blades once a year only. Clearly the OEMs don't last that long...

I'd beg to differ. Had mine since May and I don't see them wearing out any time soon. Granted Texas isn't too rough of a climate but when we get rain, we get RAIN.

I think under warranty, BMW replaces these when they show they need to be replaced, since they are clearly a part that can wear out quicker or last beyond the 1 yr mentioned. Some even got them replaced just by mentioning that they squeak.

I'm still under the original warranty and whenever they start going bad and it is in the shop I mention that they are streaking and they replace them. Usually 2x/year. The shop sheet is usually marked "customer says the wipers are streaking".

During the last service (a month back) the service rep. did make a note of 'wipers streaking'. But then she came back saying they were already replaced once this year and would have to wait until afer 12 months.
I will probably try another dealer...
