Jan 2017 Loyalty

Is loyalty still around for Jan? I think its gone because when I try to go to bmwusa, there is nothing there anymore about loyalty.

Here is the old link: http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...ltywaiver.aspx

Can a CA please let us know.

It appears that the loyalty will be focused on lease payment waivers for existing leases ending this year. So the loyalty lease credit is gone.

Can you elaborate? How do the payment waivers work?
Thx Adrian!

Sounds like it is a pull ahead. So, you can get into a new vehicle early and BMW FS will make 3 of your payments for you.

It's the same as pull ahead.

Was the loyalty credit in Nov-Dec lockable with a credit app?

Yes, that's what my CA told me. I locked with a credit app in December and verified with her yesterday that the $1k loyalty was lockable and I would be able to use it when my X5 40e comes in.

So pretty much no incentives for someone with a final lease payment in February and ordering a new BMW, whether lease or purchase. Well, that at least makes it easier to decide whether to order a 4th BMW.

The problem with the incentives and "free-bees" is they create this kind of attitude.

New incentives will come out in Feb and Mar, which might sweeten the pot for you.

And, with a March turn in, you could have locked in the December programs and placed your order.

That's the thing with programs and purchase timing ... some people feel like they got an amazing deal, some people feel screwed.

Will look for Feb/March incentives. Knew about the December lock, but wasn't going to order a new G30 blind. Still may order the G30 or maybe try the X5. Nice thing about that is I can keep my current on a month to month until the new unit arrives. Of course, I also have my eye on an Audi A7 for something a little different. Those I can get in stock, since individual options are limited and Audi seems to go heavy on the packages.

My lease expires in Mid May, so will be considering an order date in either March or April with a delivery date of May or June likely. Hoping to pick the right pair to ensure strong incentives, MF, and Residuals.

Any preference to a March or April rate lock in terms of deal making?

Is the 3 month pull ahead discretionary?

I'm honestly in a "who the heck knows" mode now. I found it hard to believe that all incentives on 2017 models were dropped this month (except the hybrids.)

Exactly! I locked in March of '14 for my current 335xi and made out pretty well in terms of residual & MF relative to today. I only got a $1250 incentive at the time however. Hoping for something closer to what we just saw through the end of the year on a new '17 340xi.

Yes and no. We're limited on how many we can say "no" to.

I'm not. When there's a sale, there's a sale. All those other sales offers with other brands disappeared. Matter of fact, I don't think Macy's is offering the same deals this month that they were last month. It's the retail business. It's seasonal sometimes.

Can you please clarify. It was my understanding that with a BMWFS pull-ahead they take the vehicle, not the dealership. Is this not the case with this pull-ahead?

I'm just a little confused if this is something I will be eligible for. My lease expires in May.

Oh, you're definitely eligible, but I think there's a little more flexibility for the dealer to where they have some many punts. So the dealer does have the opportunity to make a purchase decision on your car. But if it has a bad carfax, has more hits than Joe Lewis, they can still take it in, but send it back to BMW FS. Make more sense now?
