With the unfortunate closure of Englishtown Raceway Park's drag strip, we regret to announce that Bimmerfest East will take the year off.

The venue has long been the home of this and other enthusiast events but has since leased its drag strip to Insurance Auto Auctions for car storage. As a result, Englishtown Race Park became insufficient for our needs.

While the cancelation of 2018's event is unfortunate, it's by no means the end for Bimmerfest East. As this is written we're looking for a new location to host the event, which will come back bigger and better in 2019.

In the meantime, Bimmerfest West will go ahead as planned. Like last year, the event will be held at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Taking place on May 26 and 27, the event will feature autocross, Battle of the Bimmers, the BMW Heritage Corral, a track day, and a whole lot more.

We appreciate your patience as we look for a new venue on the east coast.

Have you thought about Old Dominion Racetrack, north of Richmond on 95. Virginia is very sensitive to speeding on public roads but if you are careful this could be a good time.. Hotels, etc are close by. VIR is a bit ' out in the woods' for something like this!

This is very unfortunate. I've been attending Bimmerfest East since the first event in Aberdeen Maryland. I hope the Bimmerfest organizers resolve the venue location issue. Also, I think the event should be limited to a one day event like the ones held in Maryland. Some of us cannot attend both days and miss out on seeing many Bimmers. See you in 2019.

I did not know that there was a Bimmerfest west. Are there any other cool models other than the typical M series

Last year we were told that English town was making repairs to the drag strip and we would be there for 2019. Now it's being used as car storage? They should have been honest with us from the beginning so we could find a suitable replacement. We had two years to figure this out and now it seems like its not going to happen this year.

Events are just shows for the most part.

Dragstrip is closed and being rented out to Copart - So Englishtown's original excuse about the track being is disrepair is BS. I can only imagine what it'll look like in 5 years with busted cars parked on it leaking every fluid imaginable.

Only the drift track is available and pulling double duty for drifting and autocross. Motocross is also available if you bring a dirtbike.
