Any dealers willing to do ED on 2 M2's next year?

My track buddy and I are looking to retire our E90 + E36 M3's and replace with M2's. We're interested in doing ED some time next year but are having trouble finding a dealer that will facilitate.
Any dealers out there interested? We're in So Cal but willing to work with dealers from any state.

Jon Shafer was a no-go "not offering M2 on ED right now".

I'll try Greg, thanks!

Let us know if you find someone who can / will do it. I have not seen anyone doing ED on any M2s for US delivery as of yet. Would be interesting to hear if you find anyone will do it, and if so if the price is MSRP, lower than MSRP, or higher than MSRP (ed msrp).

Not surprised... the car is still in limited supply. I assume you did not offer ED MSRP to try to get this done? There would be zero reason for a dealer heavily discount an M2 for ED delivery, especially since M cars come out of their allocation (so that would be one less M car coming to the states for them).

It would be interesting to hear if you offered a premium trying to get this done (as in somewhere around ED MSRP), or you were trying to get a 1k to 1500 over ED invoice or something deal...

I would imagine someone could get this done if they wanted to spend enough money, but whats "enough money"? No idea...

I never even got close to discussing a price.

I would bet if you were willing to pay US prices for ED dealers would bite. For cars like this you just have to take into account that ED is not for a discount but for a trip.

@ OP

I just wanted to let you know I been where you are 11 months ago ( there are 3 amigos - me, Furby & Bemo doing group buy via ED in 2016 ) . I know how you feel at the moment . Most usual suspects will not give you a fair deal citing allocations . Eventually, we find out who has allocation and who can make deals. You first need to figure out who has allocation . A lot of them will waste your time without securing allocation , some will push their allocation toward domestic sales, others will charge you an arm and a leg.... you get the picture.

Just remember no allocation = no production # = no ED .

Our sales guy gave us production # within 24 hours of shaking hands.
