He's not asking about hp, he's asking about increasing turbo sound.

Can't that be coded in through the audio system in his car? Maybe even code in the sound of an M5.

Look to see if there is a M sport diffuser for your car. I bought this for my 435 coupe & swapped it onto my new 440. Takes about 10 minutes with a screwdriver.

Eagle is Making a valid point. Why would you upgrade your intake to something that will heat soak more over stock and provide minimal gains just to have some more engine sound?

The worst part is, 2-4hp is super optimistic. Try 1hp if you are lucky.

It looks like it just mods the appearance of the car. I am interested. How does it manage to change the sound?

I got it when getBMWparts.com had a sale in early 2014. They are a BMW dealer & its a M Performance part. Don't know what they cost now but IIFC I spent around $350. The vents on the end are functional with a mesh covering, but the diffuser blades are pretty much cosmetic.

I am sure there are cheaper knockoffs now on ebay or the net in general.

Its held on by 7 screws along the bottom. The top & bumper cover just snap together. You don't need to raise the car to install it.

The next car will be a G & most likely this part will not fit. I will just put the original back on & sell this one at that time.
