2014 320i Mod or decals Not grandpa style

Just got a 2014 320i (non-M Style) Mojave Metallic color.
Son wants to make it look more aggressive and not a grandpa car.
Already tinted the windows.
Doesnt want to change bumper to Mstyle because this paint is so hard to find and match correctly.

Thinking of adding decals?
CF eyebrows
side stipes- Maybe have BMW Performance or BMW Motorsport on them

Thinking of adding carbon fiber plastics?
Front Lip/apron
Rear spoiler
Side skirt- hard to find for non-m style
Rear difusser- impossible to find for non-m

Thinking of just powder coating wheels black and adding decals to car?

Help! Any rules to follow and Any advice? Any links to nice decals?

Black kidney grilles are also an aggressive touch.

I think you will just make others think that instead of a grandpa car it is a poser car. It is what it is and it is a BMW. Going black, such as by swapping out the grills would toughen the look but avoid the poser risk.

Adding a front "lip", be warned of steep driveways, parking stops and if an issue, ground clearance.

Add-ons for 3'er MSport?

IMHO "LESS IS MORE" ...

I did the Black kidney replacement on my G30 540 xDrive and the look on even a NON-MSport looks better to me (see what you think - pics attached).

I'm not a fan of "black wheels" but you can try it out with Dupli-coat spray to see if you like the look before investing in powdercoating.

Tape stripes are soooo poser;
My take on carbon fiber add-ons - maybe a subtle trunk "spoiler".
Are your exhaust tips stainless or "black" ... That could be a piece to change. (See attached pic) that might add some eye-appeal.

As far as I can tell, you bought a brown(ish) car. I say you go for the gold. But seriously, a new set of sportier wheels and tires?

That Porsche isn't horrible, that Bimmer is ghetto as hell.

To OP, F30 M performance suspension kit can be an option, esp. if your car already has 704(or else sub frames need to be dropped to install sport anti-roll bars).

Black grills and find a set of OEM 18" wheels or the 16+ 17" wheels.

A Grandpa car is a Cadillac.

Advice to son:
1. Too much bling attracts police attention and tickets
2. Extreme mods don't make the car look fast, it makes the owner look restless and silly

Possible things to do:
1. Keep car clean. Keep it tidy inside including dusting it. Girls notice this sort of thing.
2. Have the best tires possible, including a respectable brand. No Lionhart or Westlake tires.
3. Have aspheric drivers and passenger side mirrors for safety. He can brag about those to girls. Those mirrors are European spec. They add safety by reducing or eliminating the blind spots.
4. Maybe even buy an Austrian highway sticker (poser pretending the car has been driven in Austria) or German Umweltsplakette. I tend not to want to display foreign license plates but if your son is not in a state with a front license plate, consider a German license plate with a random number or number with secret significance. For example, M-NCD3202 (for Munich, New Car from Dad, 320i, son's second car).
5. Join the BMW CCA club and put a decal on the side window. Grandpa's cars don't usually have this.
6. Reprogram the car for more HP. I don't know where to start but Dinan might have a modified ECU chip.

Look at 007 James Bond. He's a swell guy. He's no Grandpa. His car doesn't have stripes or painted flames on the car.

The son should be very happy with the BMW. In contrast, the Menendez brothers of Beverly Hills were mad that they ONLY got an Alfa Romeo, which they considered a cheap car. They shot and killed both of their parents. Initially, they got away with it but the police later found evidence that they killed their parents. Both are now in prison where they have been for about 25 years.

Basically the guy behind the wheel is the main attraction.

This also reminds of this video, F30 320i 180HP 16-inch rims + non-sport, the right driver makes any car looks good in motion.

How about some OCD? You can pop out the wheel center caps and then put them back on in a uniform way. For example, if BMW is upright, the valve stem would be at the bottom.

How about getting a vinyl decal and sticking it over the driver's door key hole? Some other cars have a plastic cap but BMW does not. The fun challenge is the hunt to find such decal then cutting it in a circle. Hint, try Michaels or Hobby Lobby or some arts and craft store. Then use a dime, which is exactly the right diameter. Find an adhesive vinyl sticker that is the same color as the car. For really OCD, apply the sticker on a day with low humidity. Check the weather report. That way, low humidity air will be in the lock cylinder.

I am a grandpa, and prefer a stealth look. Have a 435GC, M Sport, adaptive suspension. I think only the knowledgeable would recognize the black out look. My previous car was a Volvo V70R six speed manual. Again, stealth to most people.
Agree about making it noticeable just attracts police.

+1 on this.
Maybe debadge it and a paint to match spoiler from bmw accessory catalog and have the chrome window trim vinyl wrapped.

I'm glad to see there's love for other brands on this forum other than just BMW's! I just joined this forum to learn more on how to improve performance & aesthetics on my daily driver a 2016 320i Xdrive which I just picked up a few weeks ago. I definitely don't consider this model "Grandpa car" by any means.
