I like white or painted over any orange. I can't stand the orange reflectors on ANY cars. As soon as my BMW comes in I will put in the color inserts and get rid of that orange crap. Anything is better than the orange I say!!

I Agree.
However, the dealer told me that anything else than orange is Illegal in North America.
Anyone in North America know about this?

The amber reflectors are required by the DOT in the U.S. Yes, if you have clear or painted inserts instead it is technically illegal. I thought Canadian-market cars were the same.

Question though - why would you want to add amber reflectors, your car doesn't have them already? The European front bumper doesn't have the cutouts for reflectors since they're not required in the EU.

The amber reflectors didn't bother me until I started reading about how much everyone hates them.........so now of course I despise them.

I know I'll screw it all up if I attempt to change them, but I think that Space Gray inserts or White/Clear reflectors would look much better.

humm

I figured they are illegal, but I am going to do it anyway. I really doubt anyone would notice. My old 56 chevy orig had clear lenses, but I think sometime during its life when it ended up in california, the lenses were changed to amber (yuck).

ill take them off.. and if they ask me to switch it out, ill stick the amber ones on temp, then take them off again later. I think it would be better if color inserts are used since, well you can't notice them, compared to if you had clear ones in there.

I found some white reflectors on ebay which look nice. The question I'm asking myself is still "Does it look better With or Without.."
