Insurance Cost for the M6

I was thinking about getting either the CLS63 AMG or the M6.

The CLS63 insurance costs are fairly low. I heard the M6 is ridiculous to insure.

Can anyone tell me how costly the insurance is on an M6? Thanks.

Insurance on my M6 Coupe is reasonable.

Around $1200 per year.

About the same as my Toyota Land Cruiser.

But I'm older with a great driving record and a load of cars currently insured.

Wink M6 Insurance

Insurance on my 2014 M6 Cabrio is also around $1200 per year, actually a little less. The determining factor according to my insurance company, is whether or not a high performance car has a back seat or not. With back seat = lower insurance cost.

Depends on your state, driving record, and applicable discounts (earned or affiliate ... e.g. BMWCCA partner insurance company). In NJ, with a clean driving record, very high credit score (840+ ... yes, this still factors in), multiple cars and home on the policy, and BMWCCA discount ... the full-coverage [$500 deductible C&C] premium difference between a 535xDrive sedan and M6 GT would have jumped from $1800/yr -> $3200/yr - JUST for that car ! I can't imagine if I had any chargeable accidents or points what it would be :-(

WELCOME TO NJ !!

I'm in NJ and I'm paying $1200/year. That's with multi-car and multi-line discounts as well as highest tier factored in, $500 deductible.

Insure both our M6 and 650iGC with the same company. I have a clean driving record and the M6 cost $804 per year and the Gran Coupe $720 per year. Neither are used for work.

+1

While I get a discount for having 5 cars on one policy (wife, kids, one toy), the biggest impact is a clean driving record, next if kids when they reach age 25. The M6 is $799, wife's X5 is the same.

I'm at about $100/month with full comp and collision at a $500 deductible via Erie, a regional insurer here in PA. It was far better than the $350/month that Farmers was going to charge me, so they lost ALL my policies (3 cars and homeowners) when I jumped ship for more coverage at a lower cost.
