pics of 04 330cic mystic blue, black leather/top, style 71 18"

The cheapskate is back. Basically, I wanted to go as cheap as possible so I just took the long weekend to pick up my car in Munich. The plane landed in Munich Sunday, I took delivery Monday, and I got the hell out first thing Tuesday morning. Counting airfare, public transportation, meals, and hotel (Sunday night only @ Renaissance Munich, second was on Munich Airport ), the total damage came out to under $700. Not too bad.

The weather Monday was overcast, but to my surprise the blue shined thru very well. I am one happy camper.

To those who said mb was a disappointment, here's a gift from Munich:

I'll admit when I first saw MB at the NY autoshow I was a bit disapointed....but not with the color, it was the color on the facelift. MB as a color alone is Sooooo much better then Topaz. It has a much better metalic appearance, something Topaz was lacking. It should hold up much nicer.

I've warmed up to the facelift, and MB is now THE color for me

question about the 71s

Nice ride - did you order the 71s separately or through the dealer? What happens to the regular 68Ms?

Chris,
the 68Ms are standard with the Sports Pkg. I added the 18" option which cost $910 more. 18" option must be ordered with the Sports Pkg.

Hahaha, very funny.
I thought you left for your trip 2 weeks ahead of me. When did you drop it off? Why is your car still sitting there? Shouldn't your car be on a truck to Bremmahaven?

That Harms place was freakin' hard to find. The nav was great. But it told me I have arrived as soon as I got to the intersection. And the office is all the way at the end of the street. Then you have to drive up this funky road to get to the 2nd level. WTF?
It made me miss the 1:15 factory tour.

I picked it up May 15th, and I dropped my car off Friday May 23rd at 3:30 pm.

See that is what happens whne people rely too much on technology. Nothing like the good old crappy piece of paper they give you at the delivery center that tell syou to go all the way to the end of the road and up the ramp.

Those pics have some weird noise going on. Diagonal jaggies.

Mystic blue is looking sweet though.

Ah! the Mystic quality shines through in these pictures of your awesome car - sometimes, Mystic Blue looks a lot like Topaz Blue (what's this about a TopasBlau Curse? Something I should know? ) and sometimes it looks like the Orient Blue.

Congratulations and welcome back - long may you drive!

Hopefully no Mystic Curse evolves from replacing Topaz

Don't even go there. I would be devastated if my first BMW suffered from a curse that went beyond the normal German electrical gremlins!

Beautiful car, 3or5er!

Try this:
http://download.com.com/3000-2192-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1

or

http://download.com.com/3000-2192-26...ml?tag=lst-0-2

It should give you a better image when downsampling to reduce image size.

Thanks! I'll probably just try to learn PhotoChop since someone gave me a copy a while ago.
