X6 F16 (2015 - Current)
The all new 2015 BMW X6 is the second generation luxury cross over. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The F16 BMW X6 is build side by side with the F15 X5 at BMW's BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Read all about the second generation BMW X6 here!

Winter Performance

I've tried searching for a thread, but couldn't find anything - although I'm sure it's already been discussed. Nevertheless, I was hoping to get some personal experiences of the new X6 in snow. I'm in Connecticut and after the past several winters, I need to be sure I have a vehicle ultra capable in all types of weather.

I've come from a variety of Audis and Range Rovers, as well as a Suburban, so I know that I really do need a car that can get me to work regardless of the weather. Clearly, my plan would be to put on snows during the winter months, but any thoughts and personal experience and/or comparisons to other SUVs you've owned would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Josh

Don't know if you're still watching.
But don't worry about X6 in winter. It's a beast. I am in full control even when it's snowing heavily.

Great in the snow

Just make sure you get a winter set up with snow tires and you'll be fine. I've gone through the same winters communing between NY and NJ with no problem. I have a set of 19s with Pirelli Ice and snow.

I've had three previous gen X6s (and a new X6M on the way) and they've always been fantastic in the snow, with a set of dedicated snow tires. Absolute beast.
