I am in it for the status BJ, just like you. I'm just a little farther along than you, though. Plus I'll still beat the snot out of your convertible at the stop light which will have Mrs. Camry smile at how silly you look in that little thing with your (fake) Rolex and your butt sliding all over the vinyl.

And all the while my groceries are going to get home in time without the trophy wife yelling and that's just a Happy Endingette(R).

Sort of like a Chrysler Cordoba with a vinyl landau roof. 0.0001% of the driving population actually knows what an "M" is good for, and those who purchase an M have nowhere to enjoy their extra power. That's why M'ing a BMW is ridiculous. If you're having a midlife crisis, go get a Viper or a Corvette.

BJ
More reason to buy one. You can't show off something people don't know about.

That's good, because in your 8 year old car you're not getting any attention at all except for high school boys who are conditioned to believe that you're driving your father's hand-me-down as they giggle out the windows of their Civic's.

You've been discussing M demographics and quoting numbers, but now your showing me a Infinity chart that compares a 335 to a G? It's statistically indecisive and doesn't have anything to do with the numbers you are quoting me?

You $299 a month 328i Family Sedan leasers always are amusing. You should have just taken the Accord EX that you really wanted and be done with it.

BJ
a current 328i loaded as mine is has an MSRP of $43,000-same as a lightly optioned 335i sedan.
The lease payment assuming $1500 off the Stealer's best offer comes to around $603 a month.
Where the heck do you get $299 a month? That's like a Honda freakin' Civic!

By the way what normal person would take a 328i and change the "3" to a "4" to "make" it a 428i? Ha! Ha! You put down the 328i folks when you are driving the same thing. Ha! Ha! Ha!

BJ, let the BMW VISA platinum thing go. I have one too. It's reward system is not very competitive and there isn't much use for it.

Oh, I get it.....it has the BMW logo all over the front! Flash the logo some when you make your purchases?

Nice, but no. It winds based on the normal movements of your arm. Rolex is not the only company that uses it.

It does work pretty well. Except for the fact that after a few days of not wearing it you have to set the time again......

Anybody who has to lay out some expensive watches for all to see hasn't even progressed to the adolescent stage of development. You expect grade school kids to do the egocentric bragging routine. How insecure can one be? A shame.

BJ were you the loser kid everyone picked on growing up? Didn't have any friends and got stuffed into the lockers? Never got any ass till you were 30? Trying to shove it in the face of everyone who picked on you? I know the type. Seems like you're trying to prove that you made it in life because you drive a 3 series. You haven't made ****. You're still a tool who has to try to prove on the internet how badass he is becasue he has a 3 series. The majority of people on here didn't buy their car becasue of the BS status you claim it has. Most people on here actually care about the performance of a vehicle. There's a reason people buy E30's, E36's, and E46's instead of the E9x. Its not about the money. If you want to show status go get something that is staus worthy and not some fake leather 3 series.

However, generally, I like to go slow, let people see the bulge and let 'em know what I am packing under the hood.

Most high end watches, including entry level high end watches (i.e. Rolex) have automatic movements. Any serious collector will have an automatic winder and take the watches in for service once per year. An automatic winder will mimic the natural movements of yn arm and keep the watches running constantly.

I keep my watch collection in one of these.

This is an Orbita Bergamo 16 that holds 16 watches and keeps them wound.

Leatherette is not an option on the higher performance models.

Correct.

Because they cost more, they are purchased as luxury cars, and they are owned by old men in their 50's.

Thank you for supporting my point. You don't own a BMW anymore, correct?

Sure, not about the money. Let's see, spend $16,000 on a used car or spend $50,000 on a brand new one. Hmm. Nope, not about the money.

I'm going to run out right now and purchase an 8 year old candy bar. After all, much better than a new one. Yum.
