Need my key fixed and a spare

Hey PAPER and everyone else, I really appreciate you sharing so much knowledge and helping everyone out. Im located in OC and my key works except the unlock button-I have to use the hard key to get in.. The buttons feel totally normal. I was wondering if there was a way to fix my key? Maybe I could open it up like you did, but it's my only one so I don't wanna mess it up. Also I saw some used OEM uncut keys on ebay for less than $100. I want to buy one as a spare and have someone program it to work with my ride. Does anyone know anyone in SoCal that can do it? The dealership wants like $300 for a new key and told me no locksmiths can do it for theft prevention reasons BMW has created..I don't believe him and Sterling BMW customer service wasn't that great.. They treated me like I was a nobody even though I have a clean 2003 745i with only 91k on it..
