CPO service completed but...

Had a drivetrain malfunction. Dealer replaced vanos solenoid valve...no problem. Upon
further inspection they found cracked and leaking ccv lines...replaced vent pipes and connecting lines. Is this normal for these cars...4 years old 40k miles? Seems a bit premature
and cheap! Talk amongst yourselves and feel free to comment.

On the 550i, yes it's common. The N63 engine is very very unreliable and a nightmare to own. That's why 550i models are cheaper on the used market than 535i models.

It's a '15 so the issues of the pre '15 N63 have been addressed. For example, 10k miles and
no loss of oil. That was the big one.

You're still dealing with a ton of heat in the "Vee". No matter any engine improvement, plastic still doesn't like heat cycles.

The N63 was the first production engine with a hot-vee design IIRC. Because the turbo sits between the engine, it produces a ton of heat. All of the plastic and such just bakes over time. Even the latest revision of the N63 has issues. If you donít like it, you might consider trading it for a nice 535i or a G30 with the B58 engine.

Thanks...I'll take it under advisement.
