There's a "sticky" at the top of the page (directly above this one at the time of this reply since it was the 1st post below the stickies) that says 2017 pricing and ordering guide. Since there is either none or very little (perhaps 1 or w things if at all) that are different between the 2016 & 2017 model years...you can see ALL the available options & packages.

Your 640 is well equipped and to say it doesn't have all the options would be to quibble...such as it has Nappa leather interior which is a step above Dakota leather, but a notch below full Merino leather. You have the Harman Kardon sound system which is a step above the standard Hi-Fi system...but again, it's not the vaunted Bang & Olufsen sound system which has the special little pop up tweeter in the middle of the dash. But again, that's not to say that it isn't well equipped. Reading through the pricing and option guide can help educate and inform you of what all was available at the time it was produced. Some things like Apple Car play didn't SOP (start of production) until Aug/2016.

If you prefer to stick just with the 2016 model year...then just do a google search for the 2016 6 series pricing and ordering guide PDF...then download that PDF to see exactly what was available for the 2016 640ix.

Congrats on the purchase & enjoy the read as well as the drive.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to figure out what I was missing and decided to just pay for the window sticker. It looks like it has quite a few options but definitely not fully loaded. 2016 CLS seems more modern and can come with car play and some other cool features. I really like the seats in my BMW very comfortable and much better than CLS.

I like you was looking at a cls400 .. beautiful car but in my personal opinion I think the f08 just can't b beat .. plus the 2014 and up cls resembles the CLA a lil to much .. I actually prefer the 2012 body style over the 2014 and up cls .. I purchased a 14 640 GC.. similar options as yours ..love it ..wish it had blind spot assist and the 373 m wheels though..this car has a mean blind spot ! ***55358;***56611;***55358;***56611;***55358;***56 611;

I am also missing driver assistance plus package. I had the package on my 428ix but not on the 640ix.

CLS400 has more comfortable ride but the seats are bad, the AMG version has better seats but still not as good as the seats that I have in the 640ix. The screen on the CLS is better and electronics are better. I like the looks of both cars, I think the interior of the 640ix is nicer just more outdated.

My wife is leasing GLE400 and hates the 640ix. She complains that she cannot see over the dashboard and that steering is hard and she also has problem parking it.

The "blind spots" can be reduced by upgrading to the wide angle (aspherical) mirrors offered in the European & Asian market. They provide a lot more visibility (17% visibility for regular mirrors...and 45% visibility for wide angle mirrors). It was the 1st modification I did...I went searching and found a seller in Berlin Germany that was selling a set of wide angle/heated/auto-dimming mirrors.

You can see the difference between the regular and wide angle mirrors drivers side mirrors & passenger side mirrors below...note how many more parking spaces you can see in the wide angle mirrors...as well as what is in the background:

{wide angle DS mirror}

Thanks qsilver ..wow ..have to look in it.. that's def a mod to look into and stns2016.. my wife complained about parking aswell..in all fairness it takes a lil getting used to.. and with the Mercedes ..the Mercedes steering is light ..not heavy like the BMW .. I prefer the feel of the BMWs versus my wife's e400 sedans steering ..but I disagree with u about the 6s interior looking dated .. I love the cabin in my 640 and feel it's up to date

I am OK with the mirrors as am used to sports cars with small mirrors.

Below are some pics of cls400 and 640i interiors. To me I think the interior of the CLS is fresher. I am not sure why CLS have to make such uncomfortable seats. My back and my knee bother me so its very important for me to have a comfortable and fully adjustable seats.

With the understanding that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I can explain why I prefer the f06/f13/f13 interior (especially the dash & ctr console) above the CLS...as well as the new incoming 8 series...and that is the waterfall dash.

The pics above of the MB CLS...& like the new 8 series as well as most of BMW's new G series thst are rolling out...all have rectangular & squarish layouts with basically 95% of the dash & ctr console being dominated by 90°angles. This is as common as every penny, nickel, dime, & quarter. I wouldn't 't personally describe that design architecture as fresh...but more as safe, common, and even retro.

When I look at the new 8 series dash & center console...it is similar to the layout in the pics above of the CLS...& BMW actually harkened back to the e31 8 series on purpose to bridge the old & new 8 series.

The 2nd Gen 6 series (f06/f12/f13) with its unique waterfall dash was something fresh...it broke up the 90°angles and created triangular sections below the center dash that starts as the upper dash runs down into the center console which ends at the center armrest. Also splitting the center cooler into sections made out of 2 different materials. Then throws in trapazoids (the front cup holder cover), softened curves, and rounded corners as the dash proceeds to the passenger side. Describing the 6 series interior starts to sound like describing a sexy woman with lots of swerves, swoops, and curves.

That waterfall dash was a killer design feature in my book & I was hoping BMW would keep it as a design element for the luxury coupes...but unfortunately they've gone back to the 90° angles like everyone else. Perhaps I'm looking at it wrong...and the rectangles & squares are what's "fresh"...and the waterfall is "passe`". If so...I'll stay with the passe`.

The CLS is definitely winning the DASH game it looks amazing in comparison to the 8 series which sort of looks like a F06 DASH with a larger screen LOL

Honestly I prefer the f06 interior.. we have a 15 e400 sedan with similar interior to the cls, aside from the command unit and I prefer the BMWs.. now if u compare the new 213 merc over my f06 than that's another argument
