Views on a new 528xi in Alpine White

Been driving a new 528xi in AW for several weeks now. My first BMW! Here's some thoughts:

1. Truly is beautiful in AW -- looks like a real California coast car even here in NJ. Getting it clay barred and 3 coats of wax this weekend.

2. I had been driving Saab turbos for many years and it has taken me a few weeks to change my driving habits and appreciate the non-turbo 6. At first, I had the same complaint as many others have written about -- being used to turbos, a nonturbo made the car feel heavy and slow. But over a few weeks, you learn how to drive a non-turbo and your expectations change. Today, when I was geting on the highway, I couldn't believe how powerful the car felt. Plus nice not to worry about the fuel pump!

3. Handling is truly the best I've ever felt in a car.

4. IDRIVE, which I swore I'd never buy (standard on the 5) is great -- I use it only for a handful of things but find it intuitive. And I'm not an IT guy.

Really pleased and JMK Saab has been great (ask for Caz).
