F10 M5 (2012 - 2016)
The 5th generation M5 has the V8 S63 TU engine with twin turbos under the hood producing 550hp. The engine and DCT gear box pusses the M5 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds.

advice needed!

Hi Fellas,

I am in the process of picking up a 2014 M5 for 55k. The car has 38000 kilometers and has had 1 reported accident with $0 claim so I am assuming the damage was insignificant. However, there is a red flag that I wanted to ask about. The car has had two previous owners, the second one trading in or selling the car after only 1 year!!! Given the price tag (Canadian pricing btw) and the whole situation, would you consider this a good purchase or would it be a money pit down the road? I checked the reconditioning that BMW put into it to make it certified and it was just tires and brakes replaced and no mention of any other concerns in their reports. your advice would be greatly appreciated!

If it is CPO no worries, I bought a 15 CPO and I have 52k miles on her, and I just had them do plugs and coils, other then that drive it

Thats what I am hoping, on a side note how much do the plugs and coils cost if done by the dealership ? I will take a mechanic with me to have the car inspected but I think the car is absolutely babysat for a 2014 and I can tell from the paint and interior condition.

I had one on 'loan' for a few days. It had all the Stage 2 Dinan mods, full escort built in with jammers...693 H.P. A beast, but so driveable, if one can control one's self. Lol. I said self, if someone drove this car like I just did (to the limit....I'd better pass on buying it because I hate BMW dealers !

I ended up getting the beast! I was lucky to find a small crack almost invisible to the eye on the front headlight and they ended up replacing those too! Been driving the car for the past 4 months and 0 issues. safe to say the car drives me most of the time lool this is my first M and I couldn't be happier with how the car handles..It is pure JOY
