E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Remote Start

Has anyone done a Remote Start/Alarm install on their E30 ? I have a 1990 325i and I am considering installing a remote start/alarm system. I was wondering if anyone here has done it before and can offer any insight.

I'm sure someone's done it, but you'll have to work around a start lock-out if it's manual and left in gear.

Why would you want remote start especially in southern CA? Nothing worse than letting an engine warm up at idle. 15-30 seconds for oil flow and drive gently away until fully up to temp. It takes much longer without that light load on the engine.
