DSC light flashes when hard acclerating.

So I just bought a 2013 BMW M6 a few days ago. Just found out that when I hard acclerate the DSC light flashes, the light doesn't stay on. I am worrying that I might lose control and get into an accident so I am trying to fix this issue. Any suggestion on what to check on the car to diagnose this issue? I had drivechain malfunction on the day I bought it and the dealer fixed it for me by changing the sparkle plugs and coils. Not sure if this DSC light thing has anything to do with that.

DSC light flashes while DSC is functioning. During hard acceleration DSC is probably limiting wheel spin.

Given that you just received the car and may not know the history of it, may I suggest that the tire wear is uneven.

I experienced DSC alert under hard cornering shortly after I replaced the rear tires on my 2013 650i coupe M-Sport with staggered setup. Replacing only the rear tires turned out to be poor advice from my tire store adviser because I was sold a different brand of rear tires as compared to the fronts. The size of the tires, however, was exactly the same. I took my car back to the tire store and had them replace the front tires with the same manufacturer and the problem went away.

The point is that the DSC system is very sensitive unexpected axle speed variations which can be thrown off by variations in wheel diameter due to wear, manufacturing methods, etc.

Anyway, the car is amazing and I hope you find a resolution to your problem.

I think you will find that there is nothing wrong, I think it is BMW's way of telling you the driver that all is functioning and your close to the limit of traction. I think it mentions in the manual this functionality, and how the warning light works.
