Accelerator sensor

When giving the car gas it doesn't want to lunge forward it just kinda goes. When it shifts into 2nd then it picks up speed and goes. What I'm trying to figure out is if there is a dead spot in the accelerator sensor or if this is normal. I don't want to have to punch it when I take off to get it up to speed.

Why do you believe that you get to first gear? I believe that I get to first gear only by M/S downshifting to stop. In D I believe that normal take off is in second gear.

Post in the proper subforum.
