I have a chance to get a 640 GT 2018 for 55,000 Canadian. Wondering about the future of the 6 series and if this is a good deal...and what the history of this vehicle has been. Interested in hearing your opinions. It has 33,000 km.

Sad to say that the 6er GT seems to have been discontinued. It was only here for 2018 and 2019. The 6 series coupe, sedan and convertible have all been upgraded to an overpriced 8 series. The GT wasn't upgraded. The 6er GT was itself a new car that was a replacement for the also discontinued 5er GT (2018). I suspect that sales were slow for both GTs. I have rarely seen either one.
The cars listed from high 80s to low 90s (Canadian). Obviously, discontinuing the car has killed the original prices. $55,000 seems good but there haven't been many cars with mileage that high. Is the car on autotrader.com? Dieppe? Other than the interior colour it looks identical to mine. Insist on the pre-owned Certified Series warranty. The car also looks great tinted if the dealer offers it (added incentive, perhaps)
Regarding the car, drive it. It is incredible. Quick, agile and as capable as an X5 for cargo but with better looks (personal opinion) and better mileage. The rear seats have loads of space and the air suspension makes the ride unlike any other BMW.
Enjoy if you get it.

If you are thinking of the Dieppe car, the car mats are incorrect and oversized (dangerous). Proper ones say GT. I also got the winter mats in my deal. The small yellow car on the dash may indicate some form of service is required (check iDrive control messages).

It seems the 640GT is continuing, but only outside of North America. The 8 series will also see just one run. There will be no LCI after this first iteration. There will also be no new i3. BMW is consolidating their lineup, in a order to begin the transition to Hybrid and all electric vehicles
