2016 328GT Firearm Storage

Hi everyone. New here. Recently got a 2016 328i GT. I'm a LEO so carry a Glock 22 almost every day, smaller firearm when off duty. With the holster I've been using the butt of the gun rubs against the seat and I don't want it to damage the leather like in my last car. So I'm looking for other carry options, preferably not involving bolting something to the car. Additionally looking for options to lock the gun up when needed seeing as with my lovely state I'm not able to carry everywhere I go off duty. Thank you!

I have a super magnet Gorilla taped on the inside of a plastic panel on the driver's seat foundation just below my right knee.

It's rated for about three times the weight of my H&K so it has never jarred loose. It offers no ZERO 'security'. The most secure storage is on my person and if that is not permitted then I will carefully consider where I might go.

Does you car have the storage compartment under the headlight switch? My XDs fits there perfectly and its not obvious the compartment is even there.
