Bmw e90 no crank, no start

Hey everyone, I've a bmw e90 330d auto 2006 model, I have and issue so il explain what's happened, 3 weeks ago I pulled over and I made a phone call Whilst the key was in the ignition with the ignition on..45 minutes later I went to start the car and nothing, no crank..I thought I had a flat battery so around 4 hours later me and my partner came out to jump start my bmw ( did this from the front of the car under the bonnet) and..nothing, I figured I should replace the battery so I did that and the car still won't crank, I did some slight research and checked the fuses which all seem fine, I had an ews tampering fault after replacing the battery and I've removed the fault with inpa, I've no fault codes on my car, I've considered that it's the starter motor may have gone but I've never had an issue with my starter motor also a big factor for me is that the fuel pump doesn't prime Which doesn't make sense either, I put the key in the ignition and if the door is open the then a pinging noise is made which I've heard that it means there is no issue with the key

The voltage seems fine from the battery, I tested it from the front of the car also both seem fine, I can't seem to make sense of it so I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this? Or if anyone could help

Do you get a clicking sound when you try to start the engine?

Yeah so I hear a clicking noise from the engine, I've had the car recovered today they're fitting a new starter motor, I hope it works but apart of me isn't sure if it's the starter that's an issue due to me never having any kind of precious issue with the current starter

It's just a single noise that comes from the engine when I press the push start button

Typically a clicking starter can be caused by inadequate current. That is, the battery isnít send enough electrical power (watts; voltage x current = watts) to the starter. Iíd put a volt meter lead on the underhood jumper post thatís located under the red plastic cover and the other lead on the engine to see what the voltage dies when you try to start the car. I bet itís dropping like a rock. If itís ok, then the is repeat at the starterís main power lug. Btw, whatís the condition of the engine ground strap?
