Guys,

I am trying to code my HU_NBT for Video in motion and/or USB video in motion. I think I have activated pretty much all the respective options but it doesn't work once the car is out of park. My current I-Step is F010 - 19-05-530. I must say that Almaretto's codes implemented in ESYS 3.27 made it extremely easy to code all the options I am currently using (trunk closure by fob, turn signal in HUD, HVAC memory, Auto high beam memory and much more). I just can't figure out the VIM. This is being done on my 2014 F10 M5. Any help you can pass on would be great. Thanks!

That is VO coding, which only requires lite.

I'm having trouble getting an error when reading a cafd file. [C012]

The content of the error is
readCPS OK
CAFD_000043AF_010_000_008 Fehler
File for"cafd_000043af-010_000_008"not found![C012]

When I read the hint, I thought that psdzdata was old and used the latest 4.19.40
S18A-19-07-555 is my car i-step.
I think it matches.

When reading FLM2, FLM2[43] is read normally, but FLM2[44] is causing the error [C012].

I'm in the process of retrofitting LED light to LaserLight, but this phenomenon has stalled after adding VO.

Can someone give me advice?

Solved: I noticed that I did not change HU_NBT2 [63] -> 3000 -> VIDEO_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION from "handbrake or gearbox" to "none". VIM works perfectly!

I had the same thing over the weekend when updating to latest full psdzdata, using e-sys 3.27.1. I-level was not available.
I updated e-sys to 3.33.4 which made i-level visible and selectable to do flashing on a car.
Now downgraded back again to 3.27.1 to do coding on another car. Guess I need launcher pro to solve this switching between e-sys versions, although not a lot of work.

Solution is to Rename \psdzdata\kiswb\xxxx\KIS..properties to KIS.properties.

I am a little frustrated. I've donated $50 twice to two different charities (one my local children's hospital and the second to St. Jude's) but I still have not heard from Token Master. I must be doing something wrong, but I can't for the life of me figure out what. I guess I'm going to have to resort to buying EsysX in order to code my G series. Does anyone have experience using EsysX? I assume E-sys looks just like it did under Launcher 2.8? Is it possible to run cheat codes with it? Does anyone know of a help forum for this? The EsysX website is not helpful. They sell a "Lifetime License" but they say on another page that they will only offer one update to work with the latest psdz data.

I have both Launcher PRO and E-SysX. E-SysX is pretty much the same. It supports the same Cheat Code .xml files. The Lifetime License means the ,EST Token is for Life. The one update is an update to the CAFD Mapping Database as new PSdZData is released. You can email E-SysX with any questions:

Hello Shawn, I tried to use jokinawa's cheat code .xml file for my G05 in esysx but can't figure out how to get it to work. In the settings tab of ispihost there is a section to designate which folder contains the file. I set it to the folder that contains the .xml file but when I connect my car and access a CAFD in esys no options appear in the cheat window. I have it set to auto fetch codes as well as hit the refresh button and nothing appears. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance!

If you selcted it, I have no idea. Are you sure jokinawa's cheat code .xml contains G05 Cheat Codes?

One workaround is to enable FDL cheat codes, edit the FDLCodes.xml and replace the contents with the jokinawa.xml. Hit apply and restart esysx.

That will work, but I don't recommend using cheat codes. Some of the codes in the G05 cheat sheet are i-step version and/or region specific. Better to manually enter a code, research what it does, test it. Too easy to just tick everything with cheat sheets and there is limited quality control on a lot of these cheats.

Hey @eaglesrest, fancy meeting you here :-).

Iíve got the same inconvenience with Cheat Codes on my new working ESysX setup and just asked ESysX developer to clarify intended use; weíll see what he says. In my case, I want the semi-official jokinawa.xml plus my own set of cheats, so 2 discrete files: 1 that I can sync from GitHub and one that I work on myself (and may eventually publicly contribute).

While I completely agree that public Cheat Codes files are VERY limited quality control, they are at least extremely useful for repeat codings. For example, I did the anti-dazzle decode removal last week. Thatís a VO code that reset several of my ECUs to stock. Using Cheat Codes per above made very fast work to fix everything up.

Hey Lexx

Multiple cheat sources would be useful, so please keep us in the loop on the response.

In the interim I guess you could create a master cheat file with your cheats, cherry picked jokinawa codes, and any others. Then you can get at least apply your cheats quickly.

I baseline my known good ncd and recode from those when needed. Even quicker

You can also easily figure out exactly what codes are changed when you VO code, and add those to your cheats for anti-dazzle etc

Good day ladies and gentlemen.

Obviously I am coming to the game much later than a lot of you. I am totally overwhelmed by the knowledge base of this forum. I have downloaded and have a working e-sys (3.27.1) and would like to just code two functions, if I may.

I saw a coding cheatsheet with the following...

- Add SAT functionality
FA (VO) Replace 205 with 2TB.
Code new FA in ECUs EGS, and GWS

My new-to-me 2016 F10 has code S693A Preparation BMW satellite radio. I know that I can pay someone lots of money to turn the Sat radio on. The question is will the above FA turn the Sat radio on? Obviously I cannot do anything until I buy a FSC for the service and subscribe to the service. But I believe that who ever is available to be paid to do this will just do a FO coding.

The next question I have is related to battery. If a new battery is installed there is some coding done to tell the system of the new battery. Is that also a function that e-sys can do?

If this has already been cover, sorry. I have read so much that when I remember something and want to go back to check I can never find it again.

If you can assist, great. If not, it is all good.

Thanks
Brian D

The Coding you reference is for SAT (Sport Automatic Transmission) not Satellite Radio.

Battery requires coding only if installing a different spec battery. If installing a like replacement battery, you only need to Register the Battery, which is to erase the battery history, but this cannot be done with E-Sys.
