Hitch for Go Kart

Just ordered a hitch similar to the Draw-Tite hitch where it can be screwed/bolted into the back of the 2014 BMW X1 SDRIVE28i. Didn't see much about tow capacity of this car. Will have someone install it for me so I can use it to tow a trailer that will carry my son's kart vehicle. I've seen pictures of bicycles being hauled with this vehicle, but nothing much on an enclosed trailer; specifically a 5 X 8 Interstate LoadRunner Cargo Trailer with a 2,500 lbs. capacity. Do you think I would I have a problem hauling such an item?
